Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha town. After check-in, relax and recover from your journey while preparing for your upcoming safari adventure.

Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the town or simply enjoy the lodge facilities. Later, you will receive a short safari briefing about your tour. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located along the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive in time to begin your game drive in this scenic park known for its lush groundwater forests and diverse ecosystems.

Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos (seasonal), hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife. You may also spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes as you explore the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with game viewing.

Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Lake Manyara and drive towards Serengeti National Park via the Ngorongoro Highlands. Enjoy scenic views as the landscape changes from highlands to endless plains.

Enter the Serengeti with game viewing en route to your camp or lodge. The Serengeti is one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations, home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Arrive at your camp in the evening, check in, and enjoy dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, spend the entire day exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s vast open plains provide excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—as well as cheetahs, hyenas, and a variety of bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wild as you continue your search for wildlife and take in the breathtaking scenery. The Serengeti is especially famous for the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing (seasonal).

Return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you exit Serengeti and head towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You may pass through Olduvai Gorge (optional), an important archaeological site often referred to as the “Cradle of Mankind.”

Arrive at the Ngorongoro area in time for dinner and overnight stay at a lodge on or near the crater rim, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes.

After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive on the crater floor. The crater is one of the most unique wildlife habitats in the world, with a high concentration of animals including lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool while taking in the incredible scenery. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and proceed to your lodge in Karatu or nearby for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Begin your game drive upon arrival, exploring the park’s diverse habitats including riverine areas and open savannah.

Tarangire offers excellent wildlife viewing, with chances to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing with game viewing.

Later, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you may enjoy a short morning game drive or relax at the lodge before departing Tarangire. Begin your journey back to Arusha, enjoying scenic views along the way.

Arrive in Arusha in the afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 8 days Tanzania classic safari.
